OWENSBORO, Ky. — Betty Loueen Tate Cox, 81, of Owensboro, died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Twin Rivers Nursing Home. She was born in Pattiville, Kentucky, to the late Murray and Rosa Ethel Tate.
She was a cook, volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul for many years, and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Breckinridge County, Kentucky.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Loueen, Cox of Owensboro, Kentucky; three sons, Michael Edmund Cox and Keith Earl Cox, both of Lewisport, Kentucky, and Jeffery Carroll Cox, of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Candy Burk, and Bryant Cox; five great-grandchildren, Michaela Loueen McKone, Angelina Rosa Brown, Michael Adam Ray Burk, Chloe Katherine Brown, and Skye Audrey Brown; a brother, Wesley Tate, of Hornbeck, Louisiana; three sisters, Jane Hagerman, of Falls of Rough, Kentucky, Dorothy Henderson, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, and Patsy Hamilton, of Lewisport; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Falls of Rough with burial in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation is 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, Kentucky, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
