ROCKPORT, Ky. — W. Jean Ferguson, 87, of Rockport, died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Penrod, Kentucky, to
the late George Eldon and Anglee Myers Clark.
She worked as a CNA and later as a LPN working at Professional Care Home in Hartford and Beaver Dam Nursing Home. She was a baby doll rescuer, enjoyed quilting, she was an avid romantic novel reader, enjoyed cooking, and was a member of McHenry Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Claude Ferguson; two sisters, Linda Hoover and Evyleen Clark; two brothers, John Clark and Alton Clark.
Survivors include four sons, James Michael (Angie) Ferguson, of Falls of Rough, Kentucky, Jamie Clark Ferguson, of Louisville, Kentucky, Jeffrey Lee (Sheri) Ferguson, of Rockport, and Joseph Eldon (Mare) Ferguson, of Woodburn, Kentucky; one daughter, Jackie Faye Deno, of Utica, Kentucky; one sister, Betty Maude Moorman, of Baldwin, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Charlie Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery near Rockport. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Thursday at the funeral home.
