PADUCAH, Ky. — David Roy Haynes, 78, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born April 3, 1941, in Valley Station, Kentucky, to the late Roy and Helen Hagan Haynes.
David retired from Lance after 35 years and was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Judy Bybee, and brother, Ronald Haynes.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Wanda Haynes; two sons, Stephen M. Haynes and David E. Haynes, both of Owensboro, Kentucky; one daughter, Salena K. Clark, of Hartford, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Becky Neal, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Patty May, of Lewisport, Kentucky, and Donna Ray, of Owensboro.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with prayers at 6 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
