
Barbara was a homemaker and a devoted member of New Assembly Church. She enjoyed all church functions, spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids, her beloved pet, Biscuit, collecting porcelain dolls, and working puzzle books.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bridgett Ann Francis; four brothers, Junior Porter, Wanga Porter, Brad Porter, and Carrol Porter; and three sisters, Mary Margaret Hillard, Louva Merl Melton, and her twin baby sister.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 61 years, Kendall Francis, of Beaver Dam; three children, Kenny (Terry) Francis, of Sacramento, Kentucky, Randy (Kim) Francis, of Marion, Illinois and Janet (Randall) Head, of Beaver Dam; and one sister, Eva Hulse, of Louisville, Kentucky. Barbara was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her church family and beloved pet, Biscuit, also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, at New Assembly Church, 425 State Route 1543, Hartford, Kentucky 42347, with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mrs. Francis’ family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at New Assembly Church and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at New Assembly Church.
William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Francis.
