HARTFORD, Ky. — Carl Ray Wint, 64, of Hartford, but a long-time residence of Cloverport, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Signature Healthcare of Hartford. Carl was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Custer, Kentucky, to the late Logan Wilson Wint Sr. and Margaret Frank Wint.

He served his country four years in the Navy and after his service to his country he served his community by being a laborer in the construction field.

As his family stated, “he was a jack of all trade”. When his late wife, Billie Faye Wint, was still with him they would enjoy gardening and watching birds together. Carl also loved his dogs and had several special ones during his life.

Besides his parents and wife, Carl was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Hughes.

Leaving behind to mourn his passing, but celebrating the life that he lived is his brothers, Logan Wint Jr. of Troy, Indiana, Charlie J. (Carolyn) Wint, of Custer; sisters, Judy (Ray) Schiesser, of Hortonville, Wisconsin, Margaret Sue Basham, of Hartford, Nancy (Herman) Helm, of Cecilia, Kentucky; son, Justin White, of Cloverport, Kentucky; three granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.

Carl will be cremated and a memorial service honoring him will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donation be made to the funeral home to help defray the expense of the service.
