DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Wanda Mae Midkiff, 90, of Dawson Springs, passed away March 27, 2019. She was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late James Everett Russell and Elva Mae (Westerfield) Russell, of Hartford, Kentucky.
Wanda was a homemaker, business woman, and former Hartford City Clerk. She loved being with her family and was an excellent baker, cook and seamstress. She was very involved in civic projects and her church. She also enjoyed flower arranging and playing Rook with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Malcolm Herman Midkiff; son, Michael Ray Midkiff Sr.; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Midkiff; brothers, Evan Ray Russell and James Dale Russell; sisters, Floy Deane (Russell) Shain Patton, and Audrey Naomia (Russell) Handley.
Wanda is survived by sons, Dr. Stephen Jay Midkiff (Tess), of Portsmouth, Ohio; Rex Brent Midkiff (Vicki), of Greenville, Kentucky; brother, Timothy Scott Midkiff, of Dawson Springs; daughter-in-law, Glenda Midkiff, of Paducah, Kentucky; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. March 31, by Elder Jeff Winfrey at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs. Visitation is from 12 p.m. through 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs.
