James Michael ‘Mickey’ Wilson

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — James Michael “Mickey” Wilson, 69, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at his home. He was born Dec. 8, 1949, in Greenville, Kentucky, to the late James E. Wilson and Lucille Sheroan Wilson.

Mickey retired from TVA and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Raven Waters-Wilson and son-in-law, Phillip Shields.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon G. Maddox Wilson of Beaver Dam; four children, Shelly Scoggins Shields, of Hartford, Kentucky, Jay (Michelle) Scoggins II, of Henderson, Kentucky, Steven Ray Wilson, of Beaver Dam, and Michael E. Wilson, of Beaver Dam; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue (Doyle) Clark, of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Tambra Wilson Allen, of Horse Branch, Kentucky; and two brothers, Kenneth (Pamela) Wilson, of Beaver Dam, and Roger Wilson, of Dale, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry, Kentucky, with full military honors provided by Ohio County Honor Guard. Friends may visit Mickey’s family 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
