BEECHMONT, Ky. — Randall Ray Heltsley, 87, of Beechmont, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1931, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.
Randall was retired from Malone Lumber Company and Tucker Funeral Home. He was a member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church, where he has served as a Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Director. He served as a deacon at Hazel Creek Baptist Church for 52 years.
Randall loved his family, enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elgan and Myrtle Roberson Heltsley.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eva Mae Heltsley, of Beechmont; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Sheila Heltsley, of Beechmont; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Christy and Shawn Whitis, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; great-grandsons, Evan Whitis and Reece Whitis, also of Beaver Dam; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Shirley Heltsley, of Beechmont; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; his loving church family; and his furry companion, “Jake”.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Terry Chaney and Rev. Tom Stovall. Burial to follow in Hazel Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
