OWENSBORO, Ky. — Dorothy Mae Hendricks, 89, in Owensboro, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on Oct. 25, 1929.
She retired from Bon Harbor Nursing Home. She spent most of her life caring for others. Dorothy will be dearly missed.
Preceded her in death, her husband, Clifford D. Hendricks, and her children, Kimberly M. Brackett and Shelia A. Simpson.
She is survived by her children, Brenda C. Wilkes (Kenneth), of Philpot, Kentucky, Wenonah Cheryl Howard (Benny), of Philpot, Judy L. Anderson (Rocky), of Calhoun, Kentucky, Allan D. Hendricks (Vickie), of Owensboro, Deborah K. Taylor (Kenneth) deceased, of Owensboro, Patricia D. Rickard (Mike), of Donaldsonville, Georgia, Cathy E. Hendricks, of Owensboro, Charles D. Hendricks, of Iota, Louisiana, Christopher B. Hendricks (Janice), of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, and son-in-law, John Brackett of Calhoun. Dorothy has 11 children, 30 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at RoseHill Cemetery in Owensboro, Kentucky.
