FORDSVILLE, Ky. — Marvin Robinson, 90, of Fordsville, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Heartford House. He was born in Narrows, Kentucky, to the late Clarence and Nora Robinson.

He was retired from Martin Marietta and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Pattiville for 66 years. He was a proud and loving husband, Daddy, and Pappaw, and was loved by many in his family, community, and church.

He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved bluegrass and gospel music. He loved a good deal and could always be found at the flea market or a garage sale. We know he is up in heaven making deals right now.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Stella Robinson, of Fordsville; two daughters, Sharon Sweet and Martha Carol (Mickey) Taylor, both of Owensboro, Kentucky; grandchildren, Amanda (Timmy) Bittel, of Fordsville, Kevin Robinson (Melanie) Clark, of Owensboro, and Bethanie (Brad) Cantrell, of Louisville; great-grandchildren, Kelsey (Max) Boswell, of Owensboro, Kendall Bittel, of Fordsville, Olivia Clark, Westin Robinson Clark, and Stella Clark, all of Owensboro; and great-great-grandchildren, Addison Boswell, Raylee Boswell and Malcolm Boswell, all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Pattiville, Kentucky. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday at Geary Funeral Home and from 1:00 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
