OWENSBORO, Ky. — Saundra Lee Martin, 52, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at Heartford House. She was born March 18, 1966, to the late Bobby and Betty Martin.
Saundra was a member of Century Christian Church. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Saundra enjoyed researching paranormal activity.
She was a case manager at the Daniel Pitino Shelter for 18 years and won the Kentucky Colonel award for working with senior citizens of Americorp.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnetta Daugherty.
Survivors include her wife of four years, Debra Martin, of Owensboro; her stepson, Aaron L. Pryor, of Evansville, Indiana; her daughter-in-law, Jacey Blanford, of Evansville, Indiand; her grandson, Ezra Blandford, of Evansville; her stepmother, Kelly Martin, of Hartford, Kentucky; her stepsisters, Haleigh, Sarah, and Emilee Martin, of Hartford; her brother, Robbie Martin (Tina), of Daviess County; her sister, Bobbietta Martin; her nieces, Sara Martin Diaz (Laz), of Santa Claus, Indiana, Elizabeth Martin, of Owensboro, and Lonnie Daugherty, of Hartford; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
The memorial service will be 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Century Christian Church. Rev. Betty Sivis will officiate. The visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Monday at the church.
