MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Charles Jr. Geary, 84, of Morgantown, walked through the gates of heaven Jan. 13, 2019, at his youngest son’s residence. Charles was born April 22, 1934, in Rockport, Kentucky, to the late Ervin and Gracie Smith Geary.
He was retired from Southwire and was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening and collecting rocks.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Kermit, Russel, and Reathel Geary; three sisters, Venia Karnes, Macel Kirtley, and Verdia Geary; and four grandsons, Randy Geary Jr., Wesley Snyder, and Adam and Cody Geary.
Charles Jr. Geary is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah Adams Geary, of Morgantown; four children, Randy Geary and wife, Linda, of Antigo, Wisconsin, Vicky Mulligan, of Morgantown, Elisa Valjien and husband, Richard, of Loganville, Georgia, and Jeffrey Geary and wife, Shellina, of Greenville, Kentucky; adopted daughter, Dawn Hoskinson and husband, Roger, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Joseph Geary (Melissa), Cassy Renner (James), Brittany Campbell (Dustin), Garrett Geary, and Dakota Geary (Angel); eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Lavon Cary and husband, Bill, of Louisville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Pharris officiating. Burial will be in the Echols Cemetery in Beaver Dam, KY. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
