HARTFORD, Ky. — William B. Troutman, 74, of Hartford, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at his residence. He was born Jan. 15, 1944, in McLean County, Kentucky, to the late Rollie A. Troutman and Willie King Troutman.
Mr. Troutman retired from Peabody Coal Company, Sinclair Mine, and enjoyed attending New Assembly Church. He was a member of Bull Run Beagle Club and was involved in National Shoot to Retrieve.
He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his dogs. Mr. Troutman served in the United States Army.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Eugene A. “Little Genie” Troutman, Ann Troutman, and Rollie King Troutman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years, Diane Baize Troutman, of Hartford; a son, Todd Bryant Troutman, of Hartford; a daughter, Shelly Diane (Jim) Rode, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Ashley Singleton, of Sana Rosa Beach, Florida, Jordan (Ben) Rode Rosenau, of Sana Rosa Beach, Jack (Lucia) Rode, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Emma Rode, of Sana Rosa Beach; one great-granddaughter, Marie Rosenau; six brothers, Kelly (Janice) Troutman, of Calhoun, Kentucky, Carrol (Ovida) Troutman, of Calhoun, Joe (Benita) Troutman, of Calhoun, Clay (Lisa) Troutman, of Calhoun, Marshall (Mary) Troutman, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Malcolm Troutman, of Owensboro; and three sisters, Sue (Jim) Henry, of Lynchburg, Virginia, Nell (Frank) Weer, of Cadiz, Kentucky, and Jayne (Dannie) Johnson, of Livermore, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at New Assembly Church (425 State Route 1543, Hartford, Kentucky 42349) with Rev. Leland Geary and Dr. Jim Gordon Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford with full military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Mr. Troutman’s family from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky and 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at New Assembly Church.
