BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Ozel Dixon, 90, of Beaver Dam, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Fordsville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Viper, Kentucky, to the late Boyd and Ethel Cook Hall.
She was a member of Echols Church of God and was a retired owner and operator of Hale’s Grocery in Eastern Kentucky.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Dixon, and her siblings, Cleon, Buddy, Virginia, Margie Pearl, Betty Jane, Zona, Juanita, Maggie, Mallie, and McCoy.
Survivors include her brother, Jack (Dolly) Hall, of Viper; two sisters, Hazel Birchwell, of Beaver Dam, and JoAnn (Enos) Caudill, of Viper; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Alfred Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mrs. Dixon’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
