CORYDON, Ind. – Glendell Merle Bishop, 80, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2018, at home. He was born Aug. 18, 1938, in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, the son of Charles E. and Madie Lee Rowe Bishop.
He worked as a Maintenance and Air Conditioning Technician for Lorrilard Tobacco Company in Louisville and was a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon.
He enjoyed guitar picking, yard sales and painting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Pamela Sue; two sisters, Lorena Evans and Edwina Frizzel; and three brothers, Roy, Oscar and his twin, Wendell Bishop.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jewell M. Bowlds Bishop; three daughters, Lisa Dunaway (Jeff), Sherry Watson, and Kim McCauley, all of Corydon; one sister, Anna Allen, of Owensboro, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Webby Oglesby will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will follow in Heidelberg Cemetery in Corydon.
Pallbearers will be: Joshua Rowley, Nevin Dunaway, Jordan Watson, Bradley Dunaway, Daniel Dunaway, Houston Janusz, Blake McCauley and Jason Rowley.
