OWENSBORO, Ky. — Virginia Lee Burden, 88, of Owensboro passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at Ohio County Hospital. Mrs. Burden was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, to the late Clarence E. Harrison and Velva Napier Harrison.

Virginia was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and retired from National Linen Service as a supervisor. She was also a member of the VFW and the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) and former president.

Virginia loved her family and had a zest for life. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and was an avid bowler.

Mrs. Burden was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Burden, in 1988; son, Clarence Eugene Frailley, in 2017; brother, Carroll E. Harrison, in 1995.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Richard G. Frailley and wife, Katrina, of Hartford, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Richard E. Frailley (Lauri), of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Brian R. Frailley, of Owensboro, Christa Beth Storm (Mike), of Newburgh, Indiana, Julie D. Leishman (Brian), also of Newburgh, Bridget L. Frailley (Ashley), of LaGrange, Kentucky, Carrie E. Howell, of Buford, Georgia, April Frailley, Victoria Frailley, and Sabrina Frailley, all of Ft. Valley, Georgia; brother, Robert W. Harrison (Judy), of Madisonville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Virginia Burden will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
