McHENRY, Ky. — Louise P. Bishop, 93, of McHenry, Kentucky went to her heavenly home Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Ohio County Hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Central City, Kentucky, to the late Ellis Phelps and Irene Wilson Phelps.

Mrs. Bishop retired as post master of the McHenry Post Office after nearly 30 years of service. She enjoyed watching her squirrels, puzzle books, crocheting, and her family.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Bishop; one daughter, Brenda Bishop; one grandson, Robert E. “Robie” Easterling; and one sister, Helen Hinkel.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son, Joseph (Pamela) Bishop, of Cathedral City, California; two daughters, Veronica “Suzie” Bishop (Donald Hardesty), of Whitesville, Kentucky, and Gwen (Timothy) Bryant, of Hartford; nine grandchildren, Shannon Royal, Tony (Alison) Stevens, Veronda (Tristen) Bishop, Jeremie Easterling, Rylan Bishop, Melanie (Tim) Pauls, Elizabeth Bryant, Tim Bob Bryant, and Toni (Sean) Childers; 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit with Mrs. Bishop’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Monday at the funeral home.
