Conard Dale Bartlett Sr.

BEDA, Ky. — Conard Dale Bartlett Sr., 94, was born May 6, 1924, in Beda. He passed away Nov. 15, 2018.

Dale was a farmer, coal miner, and served as an Ohio County Sheriff’s deputy, Ohio County Sheriff, and a Hartford City Police officer.

No man could have loved, or been loved by, his family more than our Dad. He is a testament to what the word “Father” means. Sadly, we say farewell to a kind and generous human being. Our “Papa.”

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Daugherty Bartlett; a son, Dale Bartlett Jr.; a grandson, Bart Bartlett; his parents, Clarence and Lorene Hoover Bartlett; and brother, Lawrence D. Bartlett.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Rowe, Molly (Jimmy Hurst) Bartlett, and Michelle (Gary) Madison; grandchildren, Andrea, Laura, Allyson Glenn, Michael, David; stepgrandchildren, Steve, Bobby, Gary; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Amber, Sydney, Sloane, Bridger; stepgreat-grandchildren, Paige, Ethan, Quinten, and Quincy; and great-great-grandchild, Jaxson.

Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to a Hospice organization of the donor’s choice.
