My name is Kenny Desmond and I am running for the position of Hartford City Council and would appreciate your vote.
My wife Annie Tichenor Desmond and I moved back to Hartford 22 years ago. Living in the city, we have raised our three children Foster, Kenton and KenLee, all who are pursuing their college education. Annie and I also enjoy leading the high school youth group in our church.
In my career I have held positions in manufacturing management, maintenance management and currently in continuous improvement. Many people may ask, what is continuous improvement? At its most simple term, it is looking at today’s “Current best approach” and gaining an understanding of what can be done to make tomorrow even better.
Understanding is only the first step, without action becoming better will not happen. I believe I can take what I have learned over the last 22 years and leverage it to any situation that this position must overcome.
Many people are unhappy about some of the things in Hartford, likewise many people are happy with the progress that is being made. My goal is to create a safe and flourishing community that families take pride in, playing in and enjoy living together, while working to improve city infrastructure, city departments and create an attractive environment for business and consumers.
I am asking you for your support, but most of all get involved in the process that will define the direction of your community.
