PHILPOT, Ky. — Phyllis “Joanie” Wilson, 68, of Philpot, died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1950, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Critt and Violet Decker.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of Mt. Moriah Church. She was previously employed at Fordsville Nursing and Rehab for over 20 years.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Larry Decker, Linda Miller, and Vicki Decker.
She is survived by her son, Bart Wilson; daughter, Tina (Joey) Phelps; granddaughter, Amber Phelps; sisters, Brenda (Bill) Pirtle and Judy Huff; and brothers, Bobby Decker, Dewayne (Carol) Decker, Gary (Carolyn) Decker; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, Kentucky. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be after the funeral at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fordsville, Kentucky.
