CROMWELL, Ky. — Betty Sue Mattox, 77, of Cromwell, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at Ohio County Hospital. Betty was born Nov. 17, 1940, in Provo, Kentucky, to the late Shellie and Annie Flewallen Brown.
She was retired from Sumitomo Electrical Wiring in Morgantown, Kentucky, after 12 years of service and she enjoyed crafts, sewing and cooking.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Denzil, and Bobby Brown, and three sisters, Carolyn Brown, Doris Mitchell, and June Church.
Betty Sue Mattox is survived by two daughters, Lesa Mattox Fuqua (Jeff), of Fordsville, Kentucky, and Tracey Mattox Morphew (Kenny), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; two sisters, Barbara Greathouse, of Huntsville, Kentucky, and Shirley Smith (David), of Russellville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Aleatha West, Johnathan Fuqua, and William Fuqua; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Colt and James Levi Rickard, and Cadence West; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. with Speaker Jeff Fuqua officiating. Burial will be in the Monticello Church Cemetery where Jeff Fuqua, Kenny Morphew, John Fuqua, Will Fuqua, Colt and Levi Rickard will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday Oct. 29, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday 8 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
