ALVATON, Ky. — Phillip H. “Stub” Ford, 80, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was formerly of Ohio County, Kentucky, born in the Olaton Community Feb. 15, 1938, son of the late Carl H. and Edna C. Brunner Ford.
“Stub” was a member of the Echols General Baptist Church, member of UMWA and worked at Homestead Surface Mine in Ohio County as a mechanic.
He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and helping people. He was loved by all.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ford; children, Anita Kaye MacDonald, Randall Phillip “Randy” Ford (Pamela Christy), Todd Joseph Ford; grandchildren, Lea Marie Hines, Micheil David MacDonald, Phillip Joseph Ford, Daniel and Allison, Timothy Ryan “T-bone” Ford, and Christa Nicole “Chigger” Ford; great-grandchildren, Braylon Kirk Hines and Skylar Alexander Ford; his fur babies, Keithy the cat , Scooter, and Ringer the dogs.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Fairview Church Cemetery near Olaton. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
The Ohio County Wesley Phelps Honor Guard will perform military rites for Mr. Ford.
