Submitted by Aaron Howard, Republican candidate for Ohio County Jailer
It is time for a great change in Ohio County!!
I am Aaron Howard and I am running as the Republican candidate for Ohio County Jailer. I am 40 years old and a lifelong member of Ohio County. I did jail ministry at Ohio County Detention Center for four years. I am working towards my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Campbellsville University.
If elected as Jailer of Ohio County, my primary concerns are as follows:
- Rehabilitation of inmates
- Education of inmates
- A new jail
- Paying a living wage to staff
- Proper training and equipping jail with a safe environment for inmates and staff
- Providing Ohio County with a safe community without fear of escaped inmates
- Reinstatement of the Recycling Program
I have a real compassion to help others and I truly care about our community. If elected I will do my best to not only serve the citizens of Ohio County, but to help rehabilitate and educate the inmates of Ohio County, and to provide them with the tools and training needed to hopefully make them a more productive member of society. By doing this, we can hopefully break the cycle of inmates coming back to the jail.
With the proper rehabilitation and education, the road to recovery can be a reality in the lives of many.
I humbly ask for your vote Nov. 6 for Jailer of Ohio County. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.
