BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Brenda Joyce Willoughby, 71, of Beaver Dam, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab with her family by her side. She was born March 4, 1947, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Dellious White and Mildred Lois Davis White.
Brenda retired as a side seamer from Flynn Sewing Factory but spent most of her time at Cowden’s in Beaver Dam.
She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Squire “Dunnie” Willoughby; twin daughters, Penny and Jenny Willoughby; brother, Leon White; and sister, Opal McKinney.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Angie (Charlie) Farris, of Utica, Kentucky, and Laura (Jeff) Shephard, of Beaver Dam; granddaughter, Ashley Rhye (Nathan Edge); two great-granddaughters, Brilee Edge and Kristen Howard; sister, Mary Frances Willoughby, of Beaver Dam; “the best, wonderful” brother-in-law, Tommy Willoughby, of Beaver Dam; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Brent Howard and Bro. Jerry Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky. Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
