BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Sharon Denise Crowder Gilburd passed away suddenly Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green. Sharon was born Jan. 24, 1953, to the late Kenneth and Virginia Raley Crowder.

Sharon was a graduate of Ohio County High School and Owensboro Business College. She was a former Miss Ohio County 1969-70. She was an executive secretary employed at Kennedy Space Center and was also a real estate agent in Florida. She currently ran her own business in Bowling Green, KY as a jewelry maker.

She is survived by her husband, David Gilburd, of Bowling Green; a son, Wesley Phillips, of Bowling Green; a stepson, David S. Gilburd, of Lincoln, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Cobie Phillips, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Jasmine, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two brothers, Phil Crowder and Steve (Gerry) Crowder, of Rosine, Kentucky; one sister, Teresa Wright, of Greenville, South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Marty Bowlds officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the church.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the church.
