HARTFORD, Ky. — Damon Duff Gillim, 84, of Hartford, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Ohio County Hospital.

He was retired from Industrial Mold as a machinist and had taught machinist classes at vocational school. He attended Beech Valley United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Owensboro Hillbilly & Friendship Camping Club. He was an avid fisherman and a loyal husband, father, and grandfather.

Damon was preceded in death by his wives, Wilma Gillim and Agnes Muriel Gillim; his parents, Ortrie and Lillian Gillim; and brothers, Baby Boy Gillim and Jimmy Gillim.

Survivors include his son, Duff (Vicki) Gillim, of Hartford; two granddaughters, Brandi (Bub) Smith, of Dundee, Kentucky, and Bridget (Aaron) Abbott, of Reynolds Station, Kentucky; and five great-grandchildren, Brylee and Bowen Smith, of Dundee, and Keaton, Luke and Jake Abbott, of Reynolds Station.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Gone fishing.
