***UPDATE*** OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/7/18) — The Kentucky State Police reported the suspect wanted in connection with an attempted burglary of Mitchell’s Grocery in Utica has been identified and arrested.
Michael A. Adams II, 38, of Owensboro, was arrested by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and charged with several offenses, including burglary. He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
Adams was captured on video at Mitchell’s Grocery around the same time as the attempted break-in. He was wearing a shirt reading “Jaylen’s Dad” on the back.
According to KSP Post 16 Public Affairs Officer Corey King, “By the way, (Adams) is not Jaylen’s Dad. The shirt belonged to his neighbor.”
UTICA, Ky. — The Kentucky State Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who may have been involved in an attempted break-in.
According to Trooper Corey King, the KSP needs help with identifying the man pictured above. Mitchell’s Grocery sustained damage due to a possible break-in around 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018. The man above was caught on camera at Mitchell’s Grocery in Utica around the time of the attempted break-in.
The man is wearing a t-shirt with what appears to be a New York Yankees or Mets logo on the front and the number 5 and “Jaylen’s Dad” on the back. The suspect drives a 2001-20004 white Pontiac Montana.
