BEAVER DAM, Ky. — James Foster “Jake” Williams, 73, of Beaver Dam, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Beaver Dam to the late Ricky Williams and Edwina Chinn.
Mr. Williams worked in construction and was a member of Barnes Chapel United Methodist Church in Beaver Dam.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Williams.
He leaves behind his to cherish his memory two sons, Garnett (Sherry) Williams of Morgantown, and Rodney Williams, of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren, Derrick (Sarah) Williams, Elisha Williams, Michael Williams, Christopher Williams, Chantel Garner, Winston Williams, Joseph Williams, Austin Valentine, Preston Williams, and McKinzie Williams; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Barnes Chapel United Methodist Church in Beaver Dam with Rev. Cody Russ officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mr. Williams’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at Barnes Chapel United Methodist Church.
