CROMWELL, Ky. — Silver T. Warren, as he was well-known, a little white well-fed pony owned by the Jones family in Cromwell died in his sleep Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at 38 years-old.
Silver was the most patient and loving pony to all that knew him. He enjoyed giving rides to numerous children in his years traveling many miles around Cromwell. He would call out to his favorites and they knew he was talking to them.
He was the instrumental in allowing many of our childhood make-believe adventures come to life that will be cherished all our days. On our little farm, he delighted in his time spent with the other horses, beagle pups, and the barn cats. Even though fresh grass was his favorite, he thoroughly enjoyed corn from the corn crib.
He is survived by his heart-broken family, Jerry Jones, Vadis Cornett Jones, Angie Melton Hudnall, Jeff Jones, Nikki Jones Grimes, Tina Star Melton Burden, Jerrianna Jones Rearden, and Jessica Melton Burke, and a whole host of other family members, friends and childhood memories where he will live on forever by stories being retold over and over.
Our ole’ Silver had been retired for many years going from pasture to pasture only giving the occasional ride to the smallest of children fortunate enough to know him. We all were so lucky to have this little white creature in our lives.
Rest in Peace our Beloved Silver.
