
He was formerly employed as a sheet metal worker for Ernie Davis Mechanical. Anthony’s most favorite thing in the world is being called Papaw.
He was an 8-ball and 9-ball city champ and a Class D sporting clay state champ.
He was preceded in death by his stepdad, Doug Payne, and stepmom, Shirley Duncan.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Hurm (Darrell), of Owensboro; son, Nicholas Duncan (Melodi), of Richmond, Texas; his mother, Pauline Payne, of Owensboro; his father, Cola Duncan, of Hartford, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kaylin and Carye Hurm, of Owensboro, and Claire Duncan, of Richmond; brother, Barry Duncan, of Owensboro; sisters, Joy Richeson (Rob), of Centertown, Kentucky, and Kristy Cobb, of Greenville; nephew, Cameron Duncan, of Owensboro; niece, Hannah Duncan, of Utica, Kentucky; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
