OWENSBORO, Ky. — Benjamin Andrew Kiper, Sr., 47, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born Oct. 4, 1970, in Morgantown, Kentucky, to the late Wesley Kiper and Vada Kiper.
Ben was a member of the Grim Reapers Motorcycle Club for seven years. He coached T-ball in 1996 and 1997 and loved his family more than life itself.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anna Kiper; three brothers, Willie Kiper, Karl Kiper, and Junior Kiper; and two sisters, Tammy Lopez and Doris Howard.
He leaves behind his wife, Ann Drewry; eight children, Leah King, Justin Kiper, Kayla Barksdale, Andy Kiper, Andrea Kiper, Ryan Kiper, Randi Coy, and Chloe Embry; 13 grandchildren, Elias, Isaiah, Kameron, Konnor, Keston, Jace, Serenity, Alek, Javion, Jaleeona, Jaeshawn, Jayceon, and Jordan; two brothers, Orval Kiper and Randy Kiper; and two sisters, Linda Vanover and Alma Napier.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Lonnie Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery in Morgantown. Friends may visit with Ben’s family from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
