HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man after an investigation uncovered drugs and stolen property at an old school in McHenry.
According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, Tuesday, deputies responded to a call of suspicious activity at the old Central Grove School in McHenry.
When deputies arrived at the scene, several doors were found open on the building. Deputies then attempted to clear the building. While inside, drug paraphernalia was discovered on a table. A stolen 4-wheeler was found hidden behind the building. A search warrant was then obtained.
Inside the building, deputies discovered suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a motorcycle with the VIN removed. Marijuana was found inside a vehicle at the scene.
Chester Howard, of Beaver Dam, is being sought for the following offenses, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, obscuring the identity of a machine, knowingly receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana.
The case is open and the investigation ongoing.
