MACEO, Ky. — Ellis L. Embry, 75, of Maceo, died Sunday, July 22, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Fordsville, Kentucky, June 29, 1943, the son of the late Everett Embry and Mildred Dowell Hillard.
Ellis was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church and enjoyed fishing, golf, playing the guitar and singing. He was a former employee of National Southwire Aluminum.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Wedding.
Ellis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathryn Towery Embry, of Maceo; three sons, Todd Embry and his wife, Kim, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Toby Embry, of California, and Stephen Embry, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; one daughter, Tonya Sue Reynolds, of Central City, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Deanna Carby, Ryan Compton, Kirstie Vanover, Jaymen Embry, Madelyn Embry, and Tanner Embry; two great-granddaughters, Haydon and Riley Embry; and three sisters, Norma Jean Bratcher, of Fordsville, and Carolyn and Doris, of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Horsley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
