BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Jo Ann Black Westerfield, 80, of Beaver Dam, went to her Heavenly home Monday, July 16, 2018, at her home. She was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Horton, Kentucky, to the late John Thomas Black and Nanalee Kirtley Black.
Mrs. Westerfield retired from Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida and was formerly employed by Ohio County Hospital as director of medical records.
She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
Aside from her parents Mrs. Westerfield was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Westerfield; four brothers, John W. Black, Thomas V. Black, A.W. Black, and Edgar Black; and two sisters, Betty Maupin and Alma Alford.
Survivors include her children, Greg Westerfield, of Beaver Dam, Tracye Westerfield, of Hartford, Kentucky, and Tammy Westerfield, of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Conner Black, of Ft. Mill, South Carolina, and Bobby Charles Black, of Jacksonville, Florida; and one sister, Paula (Carl) Boyd, of Masonville, Kentucky. Mrs. Westerfield was blessed with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Dr. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with Mrs. Westerfield’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
