BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Albert Lee Litsey, 90, of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born April 23, 1928, in Martwick, Kentucky, to the late Earnest and Sadie Ann Arnold Litsey.

Albert was a United States Air Force veteran who served during World War II and a member of the United Steelworkers Local 104 in Newburgh, Indiana. He worked as a Millwright for Bernard Bottlecap in Evansville, Indiana, for 27 years and at Alcoa in Newburgh for 21 years, before retiring in 1991. Albert enjoyed driving his sprint racecar in Haubstadt, Indiana, and was the self-proclaimed mayor of Taylormines.

Aside from his parents, Albert was preceded in death by four brothers, Jess Litsey, Dewey Litsey, Charles Litsey, and Shelby Gene Litsey; and two sisters, Margie Taylor and Geneva Litsey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 71 years, Carolyn Hoops Litsey, of Beaver Dam; two children, Harry Glen (Amanda) Litsey, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and JoAnn McGuire, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; two grandchildren, Ryan McGuire, of Riverside, California, and Blaine McGuire, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; and one great-granddaughter, Melissa Gildark, of Carson City, Nevada.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Darrell Moran officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mr. Litsey’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contribution to the Taylormines Cemetery Fund and mailed to Limestone Bank, 1300 North Main Street, Beaver Dam, Kentucky 42320. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
