***UPDATE*** MASONVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky State Police has reported Susie Wilkerson has been found and is now safe.
MASONVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for help in finding a runaway teenager in Daviess County.
According to the KSP, around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, Susie Wilkerson, 13, of Masonville, was last seen running away from her home on Taylor Road. After arriving on the scene, troopers spotted her for a short time, on foot, running in a wheat field then into a wood line between Taylor Road and Masonville-Habit Road. The KSP, Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies, Masonville Fire Department and EMA are all searching for Wilkerson in the area.
The KSP asks travelers in the Masonville area to be extra-vigilant as they drive through southern Daviess County. The KSP also asks area homeowners to watch for her and call the KSP or local law enforcement if they see or know of Wilkerson’s whereabouts. KSP Post 16 can be reached at 270-8260-3312.
Wilkerson is a white female, 5′ tall and weighs 95 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple “College View Middle School” t-shirt, aqua blue shorts and flip-flops.
