HARTFORD, Ky. — Cynthia Lynn Shown McEnroe died April 25, 2018, at her home in Hartford. She was born March 7, 1958, at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.
Cindy was employed by Gregory B. Hill, Attorney at Law for over 30 years, retiring as a paralegal. She served on the Hartford City Council for several years, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and was a former member of the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan McEnroe and her mother Phyllis Hurst Shown.
She is survived by her husband, James Vincent; father, Robert H. Shown; brother, Bobby Todd (Suzanne) Shown; nephew, Travis M. (Jennifer) Shown; niece, Natalie Shown (David) Young; uncles, Logan “Bud” Shown, George (Francis) Hurst, Kenneth (Cindy) Brown; aunts, Faye Hurst (Keith) Swanson and Diana Hurst (John) Hogan; and grandson Callum Vincent.
Cindy was blessed to have many friends from the community that strongly supported her during her courageous battle with cancer. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, Expressions of Sympathy be made to Hospice of Ohio County, 107 Gillespie Street, Hartford, KY 42347.
Services are 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Bro. Glenn Armstrong and Bro. Mike Allen officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday.
