OWENSBORO, Ky. — Robbie Wallace, 75, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 16, 2018, at her home. She was born March 8, 1943, in Daviess County, Kentucky, to the late Wavy Dean and Dorothy Sumner Russell.
She was secretary-treasurer and co-owner of Sam’s Heating and Cooling. Robbie was a member of Hartford Christian Church in Hartford, Kentucky, and a charter member of Hancock Christian Church in Hancock County, Kentucky.
She enjoyed traveling, photography, and did custom DVD work. Robbie had won numerous first place ribbons for many of her photos in local and state photography competitions including one for best of show.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Richard “Chuck” Wallace II, on Nov. 4, 1987, and a brother, Larry Russell, in 2007.
Surviving is her husband of 54 years, H. Samuel “Sam” Wallace; her daughter, Faith Elayne Wallace, of Owensboro; a granddaughter, Heavyn Wilson and husband, Sean, of Masonville, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Vaughn William and Maisyn Faith Wilson; a brother, Glendal “Glen” Russell, of Hartford; a sister, Phyllis Ann Tarrence and husband, Rodney, of Ohio County, Kentucky; and a very special nephew, Eugene Tarrence, of Elizabethown, Kentucky.
Services will be at noon Friday, April 20, at Hartford Christian Church with burial following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Rosine, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 10 a.m. Friday at Hartford Christian Church.
