BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Betty R. Allen, 78, of Beaver Dam, went to her heavenly home on April 2, 2018, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born Sept. 30, 1939, in Evarts, Kentucky to the late Lee Allen and Ethel Smith Allen.
Ms. Allen retired from Perdue Farms, and was a member of Centertown Baptist Church.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Allen, and two brothers, Billy Allen and Phillip Allen.
Survivors include three sons, Avery (Gwen) Davis, of Beaver Dam, Ronnie Allen, of Beaver Dam, and Matthew (Heather) Allen, of Centertown; two daughters, Lydia Davis, of Beaver Dam, and Beth (Darrell) Miracle, of Billings, Montana; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; godson, Levi; one brother, Jack Allen, of Louisville, Kentucky; two sisters, Anna Allen, of Hartford, Kentucky, and Jeanette (Eddie) Campbell, of Hazard, Kentucky; nephew, Shane Jordan, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Scott Fleener officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Ms. Allen’s family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
