CENTRAL CITY, Ky. — Peggy Ruth Reed Edwards, 82, of Central City, went to her Heavenly home March 30, 2018, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born July 24, 1935, in Central City, to the late Ben Reed and Thelma Keown Reed.
Peggy was a homemaker and had a soft spot in her heart for all animals.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by three siblings, Neen Reed Collins, Frank Reed, and Bill Reed; sister-in-law, Bessie Reed, and brothers-in-law, Gene Collins and Robert Armstrong.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 66 years, Robert “Bob” Edwards, of Central City; devoted son, Robert “Rob” Edwards Jr. (Phyllis Renfrow), of Central City; sister, Jackie Armstrong, of Central City; sister-in-law, Agnes Reed, of Central City; granddaughter, Jaime Renfrow Maiden, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; great-grandson, Ethan Brockman, of Beaver Dam; nephews and nieces, Bobby (Linda) Armstrong, James Armstrong, Joey (Becky) Armstrong, Randy (Dixie) Collins, Wallace Reed Jr., Georgina (John) Sailing, Bill Reed Jr., Joseph Bruce Reed, Janine Reed, Janet Reed, and Jackie Reed; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Fairmount Cemetery in Central City, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Peggy Ruth Edwards.
