Lindon J. ‘Whitie’ Willoughby

FORDSVILLE, ,Ky. — Lindon J. “Whitie” Willoughby, 88, of Fordsville, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Heartford House. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky, to the late Homer and Carrie Willoughby.

He had worked in the oil fields, was an Army veteran and a member of Adaburg Baptist Church. Whitie loved hunting and fishing. He had made his peace with his Lord.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Marva Dean Willoughby; a son, Randy Willoughby; grandsons, James Eric Edge, and Jason Willoughby; and sisters, Pearlina Ogle, Edna Sparks, Juanita Wright, and Betty Blackburn.

Survivors include three sons, Roger (Debbie) Willoughby, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Larry (Barbara) Willoughby, of Greenville, Kentucky, and Joe (Shawn) Willoughby, of Cloverport, Kentucky; three daughters, Linda (Leon) Massey, of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, and Sandy (Jim) Peercy and Shelia Oglesby, both of Owensboro; a sister, Joyce Adams, of Albany, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services are noon Wednesday, March 21, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
