HARTFORD, Ky. — Anna Merle Ward, 53, of Hartford, passed away on Feb. 15, 2018, at her home. She was born July 27, 1964, in Daviess County, Kentucky, to Ann Lambert Ward and the late James “P.I.” Virgil Ward.
Anna had previously worked as an assistant manager for Winn-Dixie. She was a member of the Greenville Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed fishing, computers and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Ward; her mother, Ann Lambert Ward; three grandchildren, Matthew, Madelynn and Miley Ward; two sisters, Patricia VanBussum (Tom), of Pleasant Ridge, Kentucky, and Rita Merritt, of Owensboro; three brothers, James Ward (Vivian), of Henderson, Kentucky, Scott “Scooter” Ward, of Utica, Kentucky, Marvin Ward, of Falls of Rough; 10 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Cecil Funeral Home, Whitesville. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
