BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Veda Allen Coleman, 96, of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at Signature Health Care in Hartford, Kentucky. She was born in the Renfrow Community to the late Newt and Gracie Renfrow Allen.
She was a homemaker, a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and she and her late husband, Gene, operated the Cross Road Grocery in Beaver Dam for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Coleman; a grandson, Robert Wade; a brother, Carmen Allen; and two sisters, Eula Rock and Stella Likens.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Murray) McLaughlin, of Beaver Dam; a sister, Joyce (Glenn) Southard, of Beaver Dam; and a granddaughter, Cathy Garner, of Owensboro, Kentucky.
Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 pm at the funeral home.
