ROCKPORT, Ky. — Steven Earl Phelps, 60, of Rockport, went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. He was born July 9, 1957, in Hartford to the late Earl Maurice and Virginia Mae McIntyre Phelps.
Steven was a United States Navy veteran, a member of Owensboro Christ Gospel Church, and he attended Bethel Outreach Ministries in Livermore, Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sarah Phelps, of Rockport; six children, Tinette (Jimmy) Whitler, of Centertown, Kentucky, Malena Hayes, of Livermore, Misty (Scottie) Mason, of Livermore, Joshua (Crystal) Phelps, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Madessa Phelps, of Beaver Dam, and Steven J. (Jackie) Phelps, of Greenville, Kentucky; three sisters, Joreena (J.T.) Henderson, of Greensburg, Kentucky, Delilah (Dennis) Estes, of Greensburg, Kentucky, and Lukendra Lockhart, of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Joe Phelps, of Denver, Colorado, and Russell (Sophine) Hurt, of Florida. Steven was blessed with 17 grandchildren, Gabrielle Montgomery, Sarah Blackburn, Melissa and Bryson Whitler, McKala, Katie and Macie Hayes, Carson, McKinzie, Kenyon and Caice Mason, Whitney Geary, Courtney and Wesley Rudge, Lara Miller and Steven J. Phelps II; and two great-grandchildren, Audrie Gunn and Nolan Reynolds.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Bro. Van Ashton officiating. Burial will follow in Rockport Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mr. Phelps’ family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
