BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Edwin Keith Moorman, 62, of Beaver Dam, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2018, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Keith was born Sept. 5, 1955, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Charles M. Moorman and Barbara Martin Moorman.
Edwin Keith worked at the coal mines in Kentucky and Illinois, as well as Perdue Farms. He loved baseball, fishing and truly enjoyed being outside. He would always say how he loved to drive, just taking off and going.
Aside from his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Moorman.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Martin Moorman; sister, Cheryl Moorman, of Hartford, Kentucky; and numerous family and friends who loved him.
Thank you very much to Dr. M and all of the nurses and staff at the Mary Mitchell Cancer Center who showed such kindness towards him during his illness. Thank you to the Vanderbilt Stem Cell Department and Heartford House for their kindness. Also, thank you to all the family and friends who helped him through. We want to remember Keith by some of his last words, “I’m not going to give up.”
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 7p.m. Friday and from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday at Miller Schapmire Funeral Home.
