GREENVILLE, Ky. — Thelma Louise Basham Moore, 87, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018. She was born Aug. 26, 1930, in McHenry, Kentucky, to the late Andrew L. Basham and Goldie Atchison Basham.
She was a passionate self-taught cook and baker. Mrs. Moore retired from Bremen Elementary School and had been managing cook at South Carrolton Elementary.
She was also a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bremen, Kentucky.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman L. Moore, on May 10, 1987, and a son, Patrick L. Moore.
Survivors include her son, Dwight W. (Diane C.) Moore, of Kernersville, North Carolina; daughter, Lesia Dockery, of Bremen; three grandchildren, Justin (Andrea) Dockery, Jessica Pritchett, and Patrick Vaught; five great-grandchildren, Kyndall, Lennon and London Dockery, Ryver Lanham, and Luna Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Bill Bursztynski officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mrs. Moore’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
