LIVERMORE, Ky. — Joyce Hoover, 83, of Livermore, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Arlene Joyce Hinton was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Robert P. and Core E. Wilson Hinton and was married to W. C. Hoover.
Joyce was a homemaker, earlier worked at Peercy’s IGA in Livermore and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed University of Kentucky basketball, square dancing, and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Hoover, who died Aug. 31, 1981; great-granddaughter, Evie Hoover; brother, James C. Hinton; and sister, Mary Etta Hinton.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Robert and Linda Hoover, of Owensboro; a daughter and her husband, Deerita and Kenny Underwood, of Buck Creek, Kentucky; five grandsons, Shawn Hoover, Brent Hoover, Aaron Hoover, Justin Underwood, and Nathan Underwood; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bernice West, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, and Orena Salvo, of Huntsville, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Joyce’s family from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
