UTICA, Ky. — Ola Mae Smith, 93, of Utica, died Dec. 22, 2017, at her home. She was born on May 29, 1924, in Stanley, Kentucky, to the late Dewey and Ruby Remole Alvey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn James Smith in 2003.
Survivors include her son, Dewey “Jack” Smith, of Utica; three grandchildren, Tony Smith (Tonya), Brian Keith Smith (Cantrella), and Arnett Duvall (Mike); nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dewey “Jud” Alvey, of Cromwell, Kentucky, and Paul Alvey (Margaret), of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; and a sister, Martha Jean Jackson (Ray), of Utica.
Services are 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, officiated by Bro. Mike Brown. Burial is in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ohio County, Kentucky. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
