BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Harold Sorrels, 70, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at the Ohio County Hospital. He was born in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, on Nov. 17, 1947, son of the late William T. and Thelma Lucille Sorrels.
Harold was owner of Empress Angus Cattle Farm and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, had served in Kentucky National Guard and was a retired heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deanna Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sorrels; son, Charles David Sorrels; daughter, Laura Smith (C.J. Bratcher); brother, Charles Lee Sorrels; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; grandchildren, Jessica McKinney, Kayle Brown, Tasha Minton, Sara Sorrels, Dianna Sorrels, William Sorrels, David Crowe, Autum Payne, and Haley Smith; and great-grandchildren; Maycee McKinney, Kaycee McKienny, Daisy Sorrels, Alba Minton, Azkary Payne, Maddox Minton, and Kinzley Payne.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. John Cashion officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
