REYNOLDS STATION, Ky. — Louise Anderson Dowell, 100, of Reynolds Station, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with family at her side. Louise was born on Jan. 1, 1917, in Hancock County, Kentucky, to the late Chester and Maude Richards Anderson.
She was a member of Mt Eden Baptist Church and was a cashier at Rice’s grocery. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Preston Dowell, a sister Hazel Hedden and four brothers Delmar, Herbert, Jesse and Elson.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn (Don) Crosley; a grandson, Brian (April) Crosley; three great-grandchildren Jasmin, Addison and Preston; a great-great-grandson, Jackson; and a sister, Zelma Anderson.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville, Kentucky. Burial will be at Beatty Cemetery. Louise’s family will greet friends from 12 noon until service time Monday at the Funeral Home.
